BabyBot on WhatsApp
BabyBot, your family’s assistant, inside WhatsApp.
How it works
- In WhatsApp, open Settings > Agents > Create an agent. Give it a name and a picture you will recognize.
- Open the chat with your new agent and say hi.
- In that chat, open Chat info > API key and copy the key.
- Paste the key only on BabyBot’s secure connect page. Never send it in a chat or an email, not even to BabyBot or support.
WhatsApp self-serve is opening soon. Start now on iMessage, SMS or Telegram, then add WhatsApp to the same household with /link once it opens.

Before you start
- Each person creates their own agent and uses their own key. Never share an agent or a key, even within your family.
- An agent chats one to one with the person who created it, so there is no family group chat on WhatsApp.
- WhatsApp Agents is in limited availability. If you do not see Agents in your WhatsApp, use iMessage, SMS, Telegram or Discord today.
Privacy
WhatsApp Agents chats are not end-to-end encrypted; this is how WhatsApp's agent feature works. Messages sent to BabyBot through WhatsApp Agents are processed by that platform, BabyBot and the AI or connected-service providers needed to answer your request. Read the Privacy Policy
Your family
- Invite your family from your BabyBot chat. Each person gets a private chat with BabyBot, and the household shares one memory.
- Family members on WhatsApp each create their own agent and connect it with their own key. Anyone without Agents can join on iMessage, SMS, Telegram or Discord.
- Link other apps later with /link in your BabyBot chat. It stays one household.
Common questions
I lost my API key, or it changed. What now?
If you lose the key or reinstall WhatsApp, you need a new one: regenerate it in WhatsApp. The old key stops working. Then paste the new key on BabyBot’s secure connect page. Never send a key in a chat or an email.
How do I delete my household?
Email support@babybot.app and we will help. Leaving a household, deleting saved information and deleting a whole household have different effects, and support confirms the scope of each request. To stop BabyBot reading your agent’s chat right away, regenerate the agent’s key in WhatsApp: the old key stops working. Copies held by WhatsApp follow WhatsApp’s own process.
Which countries can use it?
WhatsApp decides. Agents is in limited availability, so it may not appear yet in every country, account or app version. If you do not see Agents in your WhatsApp settings, iMessage and Telegram reach every country, and SMS works in the US and Canada.
What does it cost?
The first month is free for up to 6 people, with no card. After that, plans start at BabyBot+, $19 a month. The Pricing page lists every plan.
Can BabyBot join our WhatsApp family group?
No. A WhatsApp agent chats one to one with the person who created it. Each family member chats with BabyBot privately, and the household shares one memory.
Why does BabyBot need my agent’s key?
The key is how WhatsApp lets a service read and answer your agent’s chat. Treat it like a password: paste it only on BabyBot’s secure connect page, never in a chat or an email.
